Lorica
is called the "Pearl of the Sila"…..it sits
at the foot of Mount Botte Donato in a lovely valley on the pretty
Lago d’Arvo (lake) - in a heavily forested area. The town
is very appealing and is perfect for every interest…..winter
or summer. You should make a stop at St. Giovanni in Fiore to see a totally traditional village (it’s the highest municipality
in Calabria). Here you can visit the Monasterium Florense,
the local abbey church and the Museo Etnografica.
